Art Scholarships
The VAA has promoted emerging young artists who are graduating high school seniors in the tri-county area (Lake, Marion, Sumter) by offering scholarship assistance. Each year schools are provided with the application forms and young artists from a variety of areas showcase their work. A VAA Scholarship committee reviews the applicants, choosing a group for face to face interviews. From those interviewed, recipients are determined and invited to the April meeting to accept the scholarship and show their work to the meeting.
We are proud to showcase the recipients and know that they will continue to develop their talents. To see a sample of the artwork, click on the year.
